Solkane®365mfc is a base material for a wide range of tailored blends for Polyurethane foams, industrial solvents and heat transfer fluids. Being a liquid, it completes the range of established HFC-foaming agents like Solkane® 134a, Solkane® 152a. The Solkane®365mfc plant is located in France.
Two life cycle assessments have been carried out for PU rigid insulation foams on the basis of specific application examples and verified by independent experts. They demonstrated Solkane® 365mfc to be superior to alternative products, even with regard to the assessment for the greenhouse effect.
Solkane®365mfc is used for demanding PU foams where high insulation properties or fire proof or safety during application is needed. Foams have a fine cell structure and a good compressive strength. The ELINCS No. is 430-250-1. A SNAP approval for solvents has been received.
