Once the surfaces have been freed from residue with this ideal fluxing agent, condensers and evaporaters can be joined together.   Filler in abrasives The inorganic fluorides, cryolite synth. powder and potassium fluoroaluminate, fill the resinbounded abrasives to improve their passage and efficiency.   Metal Casting The inorganic fluoride, SF6, is used for both magnesium and aluminum casting.   Metal surface treatment Certain inorganic fluorides such as cryolite synth. powder and ammonium bifluoride are used for cleaning, pickling, and etching different forms of metals.   Soldering Agents The inorganic fluoride, potassium fluoroborate, is a component of fluxing agents, which are used for soldiering and brazing.   Welding Agents The inorganic fluoride, potassium fluoroaluminate, is a constituent of welding rod coatings and welding powders.     Back
